How is your household planning to decarbonise?

As part of the Minimum Energy Performance of Buildings Bill, the UK government have proposed that landlords must ensure that all new tenancies must have an energy efficiency performance of at least EPC Band C from 31st December 2025.
​
Also, it has also been proposed that all existing tenancies must be at least EPC Band C from 31 December 20 2028 where practical, cost-effective and affordable.

Due to the huge number of older properties in the UK, it is estimated that around two-thirds of homes in the UK could have an EPC rating poorer than C and so would not comply.
Whilst this bill is still in the proposal stages, this or something very similar will be put into place in order for the government to stay on track with their net zero commitment. These changes will have significant and real financial impacts on landlords and homeowners.
